Preparing for increase

 by Pastor Victor Adeola King

“May the Lord give you increase more and more,
you and your children.” (Psalm 115:14, NKJV)

It’s really good to know that everyone of us can enjoy increase of God’s blessing in our lives. That means no matter how much blessed you are, God has more reserved for you. My prayer for you is that you will be prepared for the blessing that God has prepared for you.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ” (Ephesians 1:3, NKJV)

Before you came into this world, actually before the foundation of the world, God has already prepared all that you will ever need to enjoy a glorious life. It’s your responsibility to seek the Lord, find out what belongs to you, and receive them into your life. (2 Peter 1:3; 1 Corinthians 2:9-12)

There’s abundance of God’s blessings coming upon us as individuals and as a church family. I urge you to prepare yourself. “And Joshua said to the people, ‘Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you’.” (Joshua 3:5)

Let the Lord be the Center of your life. Live according to the will (Word) of God. Obedience is a key that unlocks the door to God’s blessings. Therefore, Obey the Lord in every area of your life. (Isaiah 1:19)

She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21, ESV).

In this verse, God the Father sent His angel to explain to Joseph that the Child Mary was carrying had a purpose. And the reason for Christ’s coming is to save everyone who will receive Him.

Why do we need a Savior?

We all need a Savior because we have sinned against God and we cannot save ourselves. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” (Romans 3:23, ESV). The consequence of our sin, the consequence of our disobedience is death. It is eternal separation from God. “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23, ESV).

So, Jesus came to save us from our sin. He came so we can be forgiven and receive the free gift of God which is eternal life. When you receive Jesus Christ as your Savior, Christ’s righteousness will be bestowed upon you. God will see you through the righteousness of Christ. He will see you as if you have never done anything wrong.

Jesus Christ, Savior and King

If you don’t have a relationship with Christ, you’re the reason Jesus came, (Luke 19:10; John 3:16-17). Open your heart and receive Him today. He is your Savior.

If you have a relationship with Him, you’re the reason He came, (John 18:37). Surrender your all to Him. Follow Him daily. Live in obedience to His Word. He is your King.
